Vote for Transparency, Accountability, and Quality Education
Elevating Every Student, Strengthening Our Schools
I'm Juan Jose Reyes, and I'm running for the SBISD Board of Trustees because every child deserves an excellent education—no exceptions, no second-class students. Our public schools must elevate all students, ensuring they have the resources and opportunities to succeed.
Transparency and accountability are non-negotiable. Families, teachers, and taxpayers deserve clear communication and responsible decision-making from our district leadership. I will advocate for an open, honest approach to governance.
Our resources must serve our students first. I will prioritize academic excellence by ensuring district funds are spent wisely—on classrooms, teachers, and student success.
Together, we can build a stronger SBISD that works for all students. I ask for your support to make this vision a reality.

Why I am running?

Reyes4SBISD
I am just a regular guy, not associated with any particular group, PAC, or organization, who has seen the need to bring common sense to our school district. Over the last few years, I have watched the board make decisions that do not benefit all kids, despite every trustee claiming their choices are made for everyone. From closing schools and programs on the north side—despite overwhelming community support to keep them open—to limiting public participation at board meetings, starting every meeting with a prayer, and completely misunderstanding the community’s needs by proposing a $600 million bond that funds only athletic facilities while middle schools fall into disrepair, it’s clear that change is needed.
Do I have all the answers? Definitely not! But I promise to do my best to find consensus in the community and confront the challenges our public schools are facing—including the absurd stance of our state government, which continues to underfund education and divert school tax money to unrelated expenses.

Issues
Join me in advocating for accountability, transparency, and equal opportunities for every student in SBISD.
Elevate all students
Together, we can ensure that every student receives the quality education they deserve without discrimination. Public schools main mission should be to bridge the gaps bring everybody up regardless of the level of education or language they speak when they arrive to the district.
No exceptions! No Excuses!
Transparency and Accountability
When we have limited resources we need to make sure every dollar we spend is giving us the best rate of return possible.
We need to hold Austin and our local representatives accountable. I will be a voice advocating to have our schools fully funded.
When serving the public we must be intentional on removing any perceived conflicts of interest in our votes and our actions.
Academic Excellence

Reyes4SBISD
Teachers are our everyday heroes, we need to make sure they have all the resources necessary to help our students succeed, from the right class ratios, to all technology that can help them to be more productive.
Excellence for all and not only few!
